Mark presented to our Lower Primary students and his sessions were brilliant, from start to finish. Each presentation was tailored perfectly to the age group, full of rhyming fun, songs and hitting many important literacy targets along the way. The teachers were thrilled and the children left wanting to devour his books. I would highly recommend Mark to other schools.

St. Andrew's Anglican College, Qld - September, 2024

Feedback

Mark was such an engaging presenter. His presentation was filled with various activities which had the students laughing, and participating in activities. It was so great for our little ones to have stories and music together. He really understood the needs of children.

Guardian Angels Primary School, Wynnum, Qld

Mark you made such an impact in your short trip to our College.
The conversations and questions that followed your brilliant session were amazing with my Year 2 class.
I personally got so much from the 1 hour and didn’t want it to end! Thank you for sharing your passion and talents with us Mark Carthew.
I hope we get to be with you again discussing your books, songs and inspirations.
One hour just wasn’t enough.

Coomera Anglican College, Qld, 2022.

I would like to congratulate Mark Carthew for his excellent presentations. A good time was had by all as they listened to Mark talk about how his books were developed and also, when he told jokes from Wicked Wizards & Leaping Lizards he had them in stitches! The illustrations were inspirational and as a result the kids are keen to let their imaginations go and write stories and draw pictures.

Karen Fleischer, Regional Director, Gippsland chapter of The Children's Book Council of Australia.

Thank you so much for being part of the Book festival. It was a pleasure to meet you and welcome you to our College. Feedback from the Festival has been amazing, and that is all down to you. We were privileged to have so many students from so many parts of Western Australia attend this year.

Kris Williams, Literature Festival Coordinator, All Saints' College, WA.

Mark's sessions were both highly entertaining and educational. The students enjoyed the rhymes and song elements of the presentation. Mark successfully involved the students in all aspects of his performance and engendered outstanding audience participation levels. Students and teachers alike thoroughly enjoyed Mark's engaging and creative performances.

Mark Carthew came to our school …and the feedback has been excellent. He was engaging and fun and a wonderful presenter. One teacher said it was the best PD he'd been to all year!! So, we're really pleased!!

Holly Godfree, Hughes Primary School, Canberra, ACT.

Mark Carthew was a big hit this morning with our Foundation-Year 3. Let it be said “He came, he sang, he read stories, he conquered” Absolutely fantastic!

S. Turner, Mill Park Primary School, VIC.

We had a great day on Monday with our visiting authors. The staff and student feedback was very positive and more importantly the books of the visiting authors are now in high demand from library! Naturally each author had their own style for presentation but all were considerate of the group before them and adjusted the talks accordingly. Mark had hardly started his chat when he had the girls dancing and they were captured right from the start – many writing their own rhymes the following day.

R. Hirst, Lowther Hall, VIC.

You were so right for the kids' session!

Ruth Todd, Program Director, Christchurch Writers Festival, NZ.
